This podcast series focuses on the intersection of Consciousness and Self. This is our “Journey into Enlightenment.” At the core of human reality is Consciousness. Humans are self-defining creatures. We develop rule sets and stories that generate our experiences of reality. Consciousness is the state of awareness in each of us where our self-defined realities are only one of the many options in potential that could be expressed.
Each episode you will join Janet and her friends to gather in this core in Heart Centered Awareness. You will feel this state where time and space are malleable, potential is active and change in our day to day experiences can be felt in the moment. You will witness this sharing in the expansive variety of expressions of Consciousness, and as form and language in our physical and non-physical worlds. Experience new definitions in Self and join in the collective community we call Consciousness.

As children we all sense that the world is a magical place. As we age, we often forget this magic. Is this where our now destructive sense of separateness comes from? Joining Janet is Ilarion Merculieff, Unangan Tribe Elder, founder of The Wisdom Weavers of the World, an Indigenous Elders community of 80 different tribes of the world. They will share in recognizing the magic again that lives in each of us as we explore Being in Heart.
Ilarion (Larry) Merculieff represents his people, as Elder of the Unangan, of the Pribilof Islands 300 miles off the coast of Alaska in the Bering Sea. He was raised in the traditional Unangan (Aleut) way and received his Unangan name Kuuyux (Ku yach). This name is given to one person in each lifetime amongst his people. It means an arm extending out from the body, a carrier of ancient knowledge into modern times, a messenger. Today he is living the legacy of his name.
Ilarion has spent over 50 years representing his people and culture in their home state of Alaska. His voice has been heard in at least 8 positions of government on several levels in Alaska representing her native peoples. He has worked with an often-adversarial government and won the right for his people to feed themselves.
Ilarion’s heart has led him to develop his positions involved with marine life and the life of Mother Earth. He is more than qualified to speak on climate change and Snowchange.
His is a strong voice and activism calling for the meaningful application of traditional knowledge and wisdom obtained from Elders, both in Alaska and Indigenous cultures throughout the world, in dealing with modern day challenges. His present work is with The Wisdom Weavers of the World, a new organization he founded to bring the messages of the Elders to global attention.
He says that boating, fishing and work are his passion, so they are not work but his joy, and his joy to share when meeting people. He is a spiritual man who listens and speaks in truth and Walks in Beauty. Magic is in each of us waiting to be enjoyed. Magician, alchemist, sage and shaman are everywhere.
Magic is not just sleight of hand and bound to white and black forces. It is the quality of the unexpected and the unexplained. It is witnessing something outside our current frames of reference. Some might call it miracle energy. It is the appreciation of our expanded intuitive realms of our physical senses and of malleable time and space. It is experiencing life without bias, as a child does.
